About.

Since its inception, BnB Baseball has been 100% focused on developing players committed to playing at the next level.

In September 2013 I opened Tri-State Elite Baseball Academy, a 10,000 square foot baseball training center that housed 5 retractable cages along with a pitching station and a workout center. We also added 3 more Tiger’s team along being the official training center for several local baseball and softball teams. After a 5 years run I downsized to a smaller training center and opened Built Not Born Baseball Training. The purpose of this was to concentrate on training with a personal touch. My 1st student was my son Ian Moller to at the time was a top 50 pro prospect and committed to LSU. I worked with several high school and a few college level players on improving in areas of need.

I consider myself as a mix of old school hard with and principles and new school technology. I also know that there are several ways get the job done and that every client is different and need to treated that way. I pride myself on working with what the client has and making it better and more comfortable for them.

I have a great support system of former and current pro players and coaches along with college coaches throughout the country that I lean on for more knowledge and different techniques that work for them.

I have also built the trust of these coaches when it comes to scouting talent and passing along the right information to players and their parents.

I recently moved to the Dallas/Fort Worth area after my son (Ian) was drafted by the Texas Rangers in the 4th round of the 2021 draft.

I always had a passion for the game of baseball. As a youngster I was taught the game by my father, uncles, and grandfather who played in the negro league. Not blessed with natural ability I always had to out work others to make the team. Catching is also a passion of mine because I was always taught that the Catcher was an extinction of the coach and had to understand every position on the field and make the defensive calls for the defense.

As I got older I started to understand that baseball is is very much a thinking man game so I have hundreds of hours of research to help me understand and teach the game better.

In the fall of 2012 I started the 11U Dubuque tigers with the help of a few close friends. My goal with to teach the game  I love to kids in the area. We had an up and down year playing most of our tournaments against upper level competition in the midwest. We finished the year winning the 2013 Iowa USSSA 11U AA state championship. I was the 1st African American coach to win a youth USSSA baseball title in the state of Iowa.

On of my greatest passions in helping young men and women find the right fit for college. I have helped many players in choosing a college not just to fit their baseball career, but also the right academic fit. Making sure that the fit is on both player and school. I try to cut through all the fluff and give players my honest thoughts on if it will be a fit, but  ultimately it is the choice of the player and his parents.

I have also worked with colleges in the scouting process by going to games, taking video of players and giving an honest opinion based on the need of the college. I have scouted players from the high school and Jr. College levels for D1 teams all the way to D3 teams.
